Objective: To provide a good water supply for the new tannery being built in Segou, Mali. The reservoir has a capacity of 250,000 gal. of water and was also a good example of what could be done for villages and towns across the area. The reservoir is terraced and will have fruit trees(lime, orange and grapefruit) planted on the terraces.

Objective: 20 years ago, Mali gave the EBM (Evangelical Baptist Mission) 40 hectars of land outside of Timbuktu. This land was to be developed and would provide work for those that had been displaced by the famines. This land made it possible for these people to support themselves. The living water project had begun. 4 reservoirs have been built and maintained on the project. About 75 family units now work and support themselves from the gardens that are watered by the reservoirs. A family unit is about 12 to 20 people. The project is a good example of what can be done across Mali today.
